Quality Assurance Manager-Logistics
Summary:
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of our warehousing services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in quality management within the warehousing and related industries.Supervisory Responsibility:
This position may will hold growing supervisory responsibilities as we continue to expand.Essential Job Functions:
Quality Assurance (40%) Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system for all aspects of warehousing operations. Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation. Stay ahead of industry regulations and ensure that all warehousing and transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Collect and analyze data to measure and report on key quality performance indicators. Generate regular reports for management review and decision-making. Process Improvement (40%) Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with operational teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established quality standards, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with regulatory bodies to address and resolve compliance issues. Monitor customer feedback and implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction. Investigate and address customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements. Training & Development (20%) Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance processes and standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality-related activities, including audits, corrective actions, and process changes. Competencies:
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities. Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements. Must have working knowledge of FDA, AIB, CTPAT and ISO requirements. Self-motivated. Continuous improvement-Lean, Sis Sigma, 5S knowledge and experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with limited supervision. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills---Customers and Company Management. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, or a related field. Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in the warehousing and transportation industry. LEAN/Six Sigma Cert is a plus. FDA/AIB/CTPAT/ISO
