Our thriving dental practice is on the lookout for an experienced and high-energy Financial Coordinator who excels in navigating the intricacies of dental insurance and patient financing.
This vital role requires a keen understanding of dental benefits, 3rd party payment plans such as CareCredit, treatment presentation & coordination, and collections.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Mastery in generating accurate treatment estimates and presenting comprehensive treatment proposals to patients.
- Adept at managing financial transactions related to complex dentistry cases, including orthodontics, implants, and surgery.
- Help patients understand and access the treatment they need or want, offering guidance on using insurance, HSA/FSA benefits, third-party payment plans, or direct payments to finance their dental care.
- Offer patients clear explanations of their out-of-pocket costs.
- Enforce effective collection strategies to ensure timely payment of patient portions, including co-payments, deductibles, and self-pay accounts.
- Identify insurance benefits & eligibility, submit claims, and followup on claims - especially denials.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience (at least 2
years) in dental insurance and patient finance within a dental practice setting.
- Strong analytical skills to navigate through treatment plans and financial options with ease.
- Exceptional communication abilities to clearly articulate treatment costs, insurance benefits, and payment options to patients.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, aiming to make dental health achievable and affordable for everyone.
- Previous experience in high-level dentistry, orthodontics, or surgical and implant dentistry will be considered an added advantage.
- Spanish a plus.
